Which years are Snake years?
These are the Snake years across the modern span, each beginning at that year’s exact Li Chun (立春 lìchūn), around 4 February. The line is not 1 January, and not Chinese New Year:
The recurring caution applies: a birthday in late January or the first days of February may belong to the previous animal, the Dragon, because Li Chun had not yet turned the year. When the date is close to the boundary, the calendar is not enough. The Snake personality
The classical Snake is composed, perceptive, and quietly strategic. It thinks before it acts, keeps its plans to itself, and rarely shows its full hand until the moment is right. As yin Fire it warms and illuminates without spectacle, which reads as depth and, at the extreme, as secrecy. Snakes are elegant, private, and drawn to knowledge; they prefer to understand a situation completely before they move.
