No — a Wood Dragon. The Snake year began only at 22:10 on 3 February 2025, so 1 February, like all of January, still belongs to the Dragon. This is the single most common mislabel for 2025 births.

Wood Snake, by twenty minutes. Li Chun struck at 22:10 that evening, so a 22:30 birth already carries the 乙巳 pillar even though the date still reads the 3rd.
Why do 2017, 2021 and 2025 all start early?
Li Chun tracks the sun’s true position and drifts between 3 and 5 February; the drift runs in a rough four-year rhythm, so early boundaries cluster. Whenever a birthday falls in the first days of February, the safe habit is to check the exact minute rather than the date.
