Ba Zi Ten Gods for Yi Wood Day Master (乙): The Complete Table

Power: Geng and Xin Metal

Metal controls Wood, so Metal is your Officer and pressure. Here Gēng Metal (庚 gēng), the yang axe, becomes your Direct Officer (正官 zhèngguān) — legitimate authority, structure, the boss who plays fair. Xīn Metal (辛 xīn), the yin blade of your own polarity, is Seven Killings (七杀 qīshā): sharp, personal pressure that cuts closer to the bone.

For Yi Wood there is also a classical note: Geng and Yi share a Heavenly Stem combination, so Direct Officer can bind to the vine in a way that stabilises or distracts, depending on the chart. Water nourishes Wood, so both Water stems support you.
