The I Ching (易经 yì jīng), the Book of Changes, is a divination text built from 64 hexagrams, each a stack of six broken or unbroken lines. You cast one for a question, read the hexagram that appears, and pay close attention to any changing lines, which show where the situation is moving. This section holds a page for every hexagram along with the method behind them.If you have never cast before, read what the I Ching is and then the casting methods, which covers three coins and yarrow stalks. Changing lines is the page most beginners skip and most need. The eight trigrams explains the building blocks, and the hexagram index lists all 64 in King Wen order, from Qian, the Creative onward. The I Ching reads a moment; Ba Zi reads a life. They answer different questions, and the comparison page explains when to use which. If a hexagram keeps pointing at the same theme, it is worth seeing whether your natal chart carries it too, so plot your Ba Zi chart free and compare.
